GLRUSSC1 is the ticker for the US Sector Climber strategy. It can be broken down as follows:

GLR = name of technology form providing the index
US = focused on US market
SC = sector climber

In other contexts, these strategies are called sector rotators, but the idea is the same: allocate dynamically to the best performing sectors.

It depends on the strategy. Generally, there are two processes that determine trading:

1. the allocation strategy, which is typically slower moving and can be anything between 3 times / day to monthly
2. the risk management overlay, which will trim allocations very quickly if there's elevated volatility in the market

There are several safeguards to prevent trading happening to frequently, including:

• only emergency sales are allowed if a purchase happened recently
• no churning: don't buy and sell the same asset in short order, even when the strategy dictates it
• always net trades: if you have several strategies, trading is netted so that you'd never buy in one strategy, and sell in the other
• user settings: you can set the minimum trade quantity to avoid making too many small incremental trades, and rather wait for one bigger one

obviously there's a trade-off: frequent trading is best for accurately reflect the underlying index, but it can create additional transaction costs. Lati Capital will select a balanced approach.
